About Submersion Series

Out of the cosmos, and out of the oceans, all life emerges, and from nothing there is something. Shot through a water tank, this series captures glowing light as a fleeting moment in time. Faces emerge from obscurity, floating, free form. A sense of perspective diminishes through pearly bubbles. Referencing the feeling of calm after a dive in the ocean, these works examine the dimensions of stillness and the fluid magic of submersion.
